Masses at the University of York
We're very lucky to have an excellent Chaplaincy at York who are always happy and ready to help, support, guide, and participate.
Since 2021, the Catholic Chaplain to the University of York is Very Rev. Fr Richard Duffield Cong. Orat. Fr Richard has been the Provost of the York Oratory since its establishment in 2013. The Catholic Chaplaincy's website is here, and they have a Twitter account as well. Also please note the the Chaplaincy have a separate mailing list from CaSSoc, so send them an email (uycc@york.ac.uk) if you wish to be added. |
The Chaplaincy has a full list of Masses and worship, but please be aware that this is valid only in term time:
Sunday Mass (in More House, directions can be found here) - 12:15 Weekday Mass (Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, in More House) - 17:00 Every week after the Sunday Mass, the Chaplaincy will organise "Sunday Oratory", more about which you can read on their website If you're unable to come to Sunday Mass in More House, the York Oratory (also known as St. Wilfrid's) has Masses every Sunday at: 8:30 (Low Mass), 10:30 (Sung Mass) and 12:00 (Sung EF Latin Mass). There is also a Sunday mass celebrated every week at 5pm on Saturday. |
